Children’s Art Classes
Relaxed, creative art classes for children, taught in small, friendly groups. Our focus is on having fun, exploring different materials, and building confidence through creativity.
I also run art and craft sessions for children's birthday parties - please drop me an email at artclasses@sandravick.co.uk if you would like further information.
art classes for children
This time of year is always a bit quieter for regular classes, with lots of weekend plans and holidays, so instead of a full block, I’m offering a few relaxed, one-off sessions—perfect for giving art a go (or jumping back in!) without a big commitment.

ABOUT SANDRA VICK, art tutor
I have taught art classes for the past 17 years. I have spent time working in schools and as a private tutor.Â
My aim is to make my art classes a safe and fun space for children to build their creativity and confidence. I facilitate individual creativity and encourage mutual support in our work ethos.
All my classes are small groups with all materials provided. We do projects using drawing, painting, clay, printmaking, collage, and other techniques. The classes tend to be geared towards the interest of the individual groups.
I have a certificate in understanding Autism with North-East Scotland University and so please contact me if you child has additional support needs to see if we can accommodate them in one of the classes.
ART MATERIALS: Often parents ask for sources of art materials. There are so many different shops selling art and craft materials that you are really spoilt for choice, and it really depends on how much you want to spend. Stores like The Works and Hobbycraft are great for the basics. For those who are wanting more than the budget versions, Cass Art, Edinburgh Art Shop and Greyfriars Art shop are local. For sketchbooks I like using Pink Pig sketchbooks as they are UK owned and make some fun bright coloured notebooks and sketchbooks. They do basic ones and more expensive watercolour ones. You can find out more about pink pig sketchbooks from my affiliate link below.
